One Month Old

Lila is now one month old, and it's been quite a month. She had her one month checkup Friday and now weighs 6 lb. 15 oz and is 20.5 inches long. So, in the first month she's gained one pound and five ounces and two whole inches...she's doing great. She's changing every day.

Lila gives Mommy a funny look while having her clothes changed. When she is alert, she makes all kinds of cute faces.

Lila is still very tiny. Most of her clothes are still too large. The 0-3 month sizes still swallow her, as you can see. But before we know it she'll actually get to wear all the cute stuff she got as gifts.

Deep thought

Lila yawning, it has been a long day of sleeping, eating, crying, and pooping. I wonder what tomorrow will bring.



Lila in deep thought. Probably pondering the connection between quantum physics and Einstein's relativity. Perhaps the key is in string theory. We now know until she is able to talk.

Lila's 1st Easter

Lila was twenty days old for her first Easter. Since she isn't going out in public at this point, she didn't get to participate in any Easter traditions. Mommy did dress her up in a cute pink dress, the only dress small enough to fit her.



Lila had a very sleepy Easter, so sleepy that it was impossible to get a picture of her with her eyes open. Sleepy Lila had her picture taken with her new Easter chick, a gift from Uncle Brian and soon-to-be Aunt Melanie. Of course, as soon as we took her dress off she was wide awake.

Another Bath

Mommy and Daddy gave Lila another bath on day nineteen. She was a good sport for the most part and didn't give us too much trouble.



Afterwards, Lila cuddled up in her Winnie the Pooh hooded towel.

Aunt Tara, Uncle Matt, & Lila

On day eighteen, Aunt Tara and Uncle Matt came all the way from Franklinton, North Carolina to see Lila for the first time. They noticed her Zoolander look right away. Unfortunately, she slept for their entire visit.

Down Time

Mommy has lots of down time during the day to take cute pictures of Lila. We had several photo sessions on day fourteen.

After First Bath

Even though Lila is breastfed, sometimes she has to be supplemented with formula, especially those first few days. Her daddy gives her some food.

Light Box

Poor Lila had jaundice and had to sleep in a bili light box for a few days. This image was taken on day 5. It was hard leaving her in there for days without getting substantial time to hold and play with her.
